Our Country, Our Flag

We grew up in our country and we are strongly connected to the land where we were born and where our ancestors are still in the dream-time.

This is a painting about our beautiful land around us – it records details of great importance to our people and to the continuation of life. Lagoons and waterholes for fishing and bathing, bush medicine plants, bush tucker, weather patterns and seasons. These are all vital to a traditional way of life and preservation of culture.
