Sea Grass in Marra Country

Sea grass is all around the coast in Marra Country. Not just one type, but four different kinds that  Marra people have always known about. 

Na- wirralbirral, Na- julangal (2) and Ma- warladaji. All of these can be found in the salt water out Limmen Bite way.

We know the sea grass  is important for our sea animals – especially Dugong and Turtles – it is their main food.
